How Cumulus is made

We develop our designs in our workshop in Brussels, Belgium. There, we create our patterns and prototypes, paying meticulous attention to detail and striving to combine functionality, aesthetics, and originality to create garments meant for everyday wear, for years to come.

We have chosen Lamintess, an Italian manufacturer, to produce our fabrics.

Located in Tuscany, they have been innovating since 1965 in what are known as "technical" fabrics, used in the production of outerwear and sportswear. We have selected high-quality, water-repellent fabrics for their lightness, soft feel, and fluidity.
Working with them allows us to create our own colors, avoiding the traditional shades of gray, beige, and black so prevalent in typical coats. Every year, we send them colored samples so they can test our microfibers until they find the perfect shade.

Our production takes place primarily in a small, family-run workshop in Campina, Romania. Our raincoats are made in small batches by a team of highly talented seamstresses and tailors. Over the years, we have built a professional relationship based on trust, loyalty, and the exceptional quality of their work.

The timelessness of Cumulus products allows them to continue working during off-peak periods, free from the seasonal constraints of the fashion industry.

We chose them because they offer good working conditions and a fair and appropriate wage for their team, and this is something we are committed to.

We are proud to say that our Cumulus products are ethically made and designed to be sustainable.
