Françoise Pendville
Françoise Pendville is a Belgian designer, inspired by the variable weather of our native Belgium, where rain is part of every season... She has been designing coats, jackets and raincoats for more than 20 years, which have become the staple pieces of her collections. She has a taste for noble materials, generous volumes and a sense of detail.
In 2012, she decided to launch a new line, more timeless and nomadic: Cumulus "The Urban Traveller Concept". Travel light in style, everywhere, in all weathers.
"Inspired by the playgrounds where, as a teacher, I found myself outside in all weathers, the idea came to me to make light and practical coats to protect oneself from the vagaries of weather. Between the KW and the Burberrys trench, there was space to give back its letters of nobility to the raincoat. A raincoat to go mushroom picking or to the opera on a stormy night, that was my line of conduct. » Françoise
in 2021, she asked her intern, Aurélie, if she wanted to take over the brand, so Françoise could focus on her new projects, like Mutent.

Aurélie Aertgeerts
After obtaining a bachelor's degree in marketing, Aurélie began a bachelor's degree in fashion styling in 2017. Fashion design has always been her passion, inspired by her grandmother who was a seamstress. As part of her training, she completed a first internship with Françoise Pendville, which turned into 4 years of apprenticeship at her side. In 2021, Françoise offered her the opportunity to continue the Cumulus adventure by taking over the brand, and after a few months of preparation, the transfer became official in January 2022. Aurélie now handles everything for Cumulus.
"Taking over Cumulus was an obvious choice. I have a lot of respect and admiration for what Françoise has built, and after all these years at her side, I couldn't imagine anyone better placed to continue the Cumulus story. I believe deeply in the potential of the brand, and I look forward to bringing my enthusiasm and personal touch to it. The future looks bright." Aurélie
