Use of generative A.I.
Hello all,
I just wanted to address the rise of A.I. content all over the internet, and make my stance on it clear: as a creative person, as a designer, I do not believe in using generative A.I. in any form.
I believe A.I. steals intellectual property to generate mediocre content, meant to trick people.
I believe it is ruining our planet and waisting our precious resources.
I believe using A.I. to showcase products for online purchase is inherently a lie, and I never want to lie to you.
I believe in authenticity, honesty, and humanity. I believe art is meant to be made by people with tools and skills they spent years working on. I don't believe writing a few prompts makes you an artist.
I hate that A.I. is being forced on us in everything from our cars to our phones as this magic tool that will solve everything. It isn't, and we've already seen the awful things it can do, from blatant lies to generating pornography, with barely any framework or consequences for the people who created these programs and unleashed it on all of us.
Here at Cumulus, we support real artists, photographers, crafters. You will find reworked pictures on this website, with tools like Photoshop, where the changes were made by a human with skills and knowledge. You will not find any generated image or videos, and you never will.
Thank you for reading this.
Aurélie
